Pattern Love

In a previous blog we talked about design trends for 2013. Geo patterns are HUGE right now! We are seeing lots of chevron, octagonal shapes, and polka-dots. How do you feel about all of this? Are you bold enough to re-wallpaper or have some stylish tiles put in, or do you prefer to play it safe with accents and furniture that can easily be replaced when the trend is over. Here are some fab examples of both:


These marble mosaic tiles from Studium NYC are stunning. We have a lot of pattern here, but I'm loving it!


Here we go with the chevron again- I think they gray keeps it subtle. Also, making it an accent wall adds character without going overboard and makes for easier replacement!


Throw pillows are a great way to add a little spunk to your home without going overboard. They can easily be recovered or replaced and may also be changed out seasonally. I'm loving these fun patterns above!


These wall coverings are tastefully done and really add character and beauty to the rooms. After choosing a busy wall treatment- it is important to keep your room accents subtle. Well done!


Another great way to add some flavor to your home without breaking the bank is trying out some fun printed rugs. These can be removed later and serve a valid purpose for the time being- besides just being visually stimulating. Look at all of the geos!
